INVITATION TO BID
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 103 of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, the Village of Canton, New York invites the submission of sealed bids for Park Improvements at Willow Island 2023 per bid specifications.
The project consists of park improvements at Willow Island, Main Street, in Canton, NY.
The site is currently accessible to all bidders. An optional pre-bid meeting and site showing will be held on September 25th, 2023 at 12pm.
Arrangements to obtain Bid Specifications, bid sheet and related forms may be made by visiting the Canton, NY website at www.cantonny.gov/wipbidnotice. Proposals must be submitted on the official bid form only.

All bids must be accompanied by a non-collusion statement.
The contractor will be required to pay wages to laborers and mechanics at least equal to the wage rates as determined by NYS Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate (PRC) No. 2023010541.
It is the policy of the Village of Canton to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. Under Article 15A Executive Law, the State of New York is committed to providing Minority and Women Owned Business (MWBE) equal opportunity to participate in government contracts. The following goals have been set for this project: 15% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and 15% Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE). The granting agency does not require participation for bids less than $25,000.
Funding for the project comes in part through a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program grant administered by the New York Department of State.
Bids can be submitted via email, U.S. Mail, FedEx or UPS only and will be received up to 4:00 pm on October 11th, 2023.
Sealed bids should be marked “SEALED-BID Park Improvements at Willow Island 2023” and returned via U.S. Mail, Fed Ex, UPS, or in person to:

Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Village offices on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023 at 4:00 pm.
The Village of Canton reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
