Rich Road Solar Project Public Comment Hearing

The Canton Town and Village Boards would like the public to be aware and encourage attendance of the Public Comment Hearing of the Rich Road Solar Energy Center, LLC c/o EDF Renewables Development Project on Tuesday, May 7, at 6 p.m. at the Best Western University Inn’s Laurentian Room.
The 1700 acre project is to construct and operate a 240-Megawatt(MW) solar energy facility and a 20 MW battery energy storage system located in the Town of Canton along the Route 11 corridor.
The public can review the application and draft permit on the ORES website (Office of Renewable Siting) at https://ores.ny.gov/permit-applications. Click on Project Permit Application Number 22-00031.  Written comments must be filed with ORES by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024.  Persons filing written comments are encouraged by EDF to post their comments on the ORES Portal.
