The Village of Canton will be flushing fire hydrants October 20 – 22 weather permitting, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
There may be some discoloration of water and low-pressure during flushing in your area; however, the water is safe to drink. any discoloration should clear up in a few hours. Residents who experience discolored water should flush their water systems by opening a cold-water faucet and letting it run until the color clears. Customers may wish to draw some water the night before for drinking the next morning.
Please check your water before doing laundry as the discolored water can stain. If laundry becomes stained, do not use bleach as this will set the stain permanently.
