TOWN OF CANTON HEARING OF ASSESSMENT OF COMPLAINTS
Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Canton St. Lawrence County has completed the tentative assessment roll for the current year and that a copy has been left with the Canton Town Clerk at Canton Municipal Building, 60 Main Street, Canton, NY 13617, where it may be seen and examined by any interested person until the fourth Tuesday in May.
The tentative assessment roll is also available for viewing here and the St. Lawrence County website (www.stlawco.org) per requirement of RPTL Section 1590(2).
The Assessor, or his or her designee, will be in attendance with the tentative roll by phone or in person at Canton Municipal Building, 60 Main Street, Canton, New York (Phone: 315.386-2595) during the following times by appointment only:
Monday, May 10, 2021: 9:00AM – 1:00PM
Thursday, May 13, 2021: 12:00PM – 4:00PM
Saturday, May 15, 2021: 9:00AM – 1:00PM
Monday, May 17, 2021: 4:00PM – 8:00PM
The Board of Assessment Review will meet on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 between the hours of 4pm – 8pm in said Town at Canton Municipal Building, 60 Main Street, Canton, NY 13617 to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments, upon the application of any person believing himself to be aggrieved.

DUE TO COVID-19 – Social distancing and wearing of masks will be abided by everyone in attendance at the Grievance Hearing. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
This year we are asking the property owners to make an appointment for Grievance Day. Please call the assessor at 315-386-2595 by May 24th.
