LEGAL NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Canton Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing at the Courtroom in the Municipal Building at 60 Main Street, Canton, New York on Monday, November 18, 2019, commencing at 6:15pm, to consider a proposed local law which would amend the provisions of Chapter 26 (“ETHICS, CODE OF”) of the Canton Village Code, as follows: (a) Sections
26-1 through 26-10 of said Chapter 26 shall be repealed; and (b) new provisions shall be adopted, which shall comprise Chapter 26 of the Canton Village Code, under the title “CODE OF ETHICS – Village of Canton, New York”. Said new provisions, as stated in said local law, shall comprise Sections 26-1 through 26-22 of the revised Chapter 26. A copy of the proposed local law, and of the proposed disclosure statement referenced therein, may be reviewed at the office of the Village Clerk during regular business hours. The regular monthly meeting of the Canton Village Board of Trustees is scheduled to commence at 6:30pm on November 18, 2019, at which time the Board will consider and may take action on the proposed local law.
