The Village of Canton and its Complete Streets Task Force are pleased to be working with Clarkson University Professor Erik Backus and students in the Construction Engineering Management Program on a safety study of Court Street. Beginning June 8, student surveyors will be talking to people on the street and counting the numbers of people walking and biking. The study will provide recommendations to improve safety for pedestrians and bicyclists on this busy route between Main and State Streets.
Funded by the St Lawrence Health Initiative, a report on the groups findings will be presented to the Village Board at the September meeting.
