A boil water notice has been issued for customers on the north side of East Main Street from Stiles Avenue to the intersection of  SH68 & SH310 and  the south side of US 11 from the 310/68 intersection to the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites. These area have been affected by a shut down of water service due to emergency water line repairs. To ensure that disease-causing organisms do not exist in your drinking water, boil the water at a rolling boil for at least two minutes.

Water for drinking and cooking should be boiled until two consecutive days of negative coliform bacterial results are reported. Notification letters will be distributed to affected customers at that time.

When service is restored the water will likely be discolored; allowing your faucets to run will eventually clear the water. Check washing machine water before adding a load, it may require a cycle to flush the discolored water.

Please direct questions to the Village Clerk’s Office at 315-386-2871.
