PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that there has been filed with the Office of the Clerk of the Town of Canton, New York and Office of the Clerk of the Village of Canton, New York a petition requesting the annexation into the Village of Canton of property owned by Argent Developments, LLC (described in deed recorded with the St. Lawrence County Clerk on May 14, 2014 at Instrument #2014-6215, and at Exhibit “A” attached to the petition). The said property is located on Sullivan Drive in the Town of Canton, and is further described as Tax Parcel #74.004-7-13.112.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that a joint public hearing will be held by the Canton Town Board and the Canton Village Board to consider the foregoing petition, including any issues related to the environmental significance of the proposed annexation, pursuant to the provisions of the State Environmental Quality Review Act. This joint hearing shall be held at the Board Room of the Municipal Building at 60 Main Street, Canton, New York, on the 30th day of July 2019, commencing at 7:00pm. Upon the conclusion of the public hearing on July 30, 2019, Canton Town Board and the Canton Village Board will each hold a special meeting at the Board Room of the Municipal Building at 60 Main Street, Canton, New York, for the purpose of making required determinations of environmental significance of the proposed annexation, and for the purpose of taking action upon the proposed annexation.
